Apex Legends Global Series Championship, Prize Pool Worth $2.58M

Apex Legends is popular worldwide. The Apex Legends Global Series Championship has started. Moreover, Respawn revealed the massive prize pool recently, which is worth $2.58 USD.

The ALGS Series is a huge event. Also, teams across the world have participated in the tournament. Likewise, the ALGS has progressed from the Regional qualifiers. 

The ALGS Winter Circuit Playoffs attracted a record-breaking 100,000 viewers per minute. 

Prize Pool:

The Apex Legends Global Series Championship has already begun in all of the major locations. But, until now, players had no idea how much money they were competing for.

The series began on May 22. Respawn announced a prize pool worth $1 million. EA and Respawn set this as the starting point for the contestants. 

However, soon after this announcement, the creators disclosed that the ALGS Championship’s final prize pool would be determined by a crowd-funding event.

After a highly successful crowd-funding drive, EA and Respawn announced that the tournament would have a $2.5 million prize pool.

ALGS Crowd-Funding: 

Respawn created an event for increasing the prize pool. Players could buy up to five different bundles for a total of $5.00 to $20.00. This would be added to the prize pool. 

Four of the bundles included fewer cosmetic items, adding $5.00 to the total. Meanwhile, the filled Animal Kingdom package cost $20.00 to the total.

After that, the crowd-funding campaign came to an end in the middle of the ALGS Championship. Subsequently, the event shall culminate on June 13, 2021.

Moreover, players raised over $1.5 million for the prize pool. The total prize pool for competitive Apex Legends is $2,580,590. It is the highest prize pool in the game’s history.

During 2021, all aspects of Apex Legends are thriving, with the base game attracting more attention than ever before. In contrast, this success spilled over into the world of esports as well. 

In conclusion, Season 9, named “Legacy,” brought with it plenty of new features. It included the Arenas mode too. Respawn also revealed that there are currently 100 million unique users in the game.
