BGIS: Format, Rules, Dates – Everything you Need to know

BGIS – Battlegrounds Mobile India Series is the first official BGMI esports tournament. Krafton made an official announcement for the event. Moreover, this esports event is open for all. 


BGIS is a huge esports tournaments for Indian players. In addition, it has a massive prize pool of 1 Crore INR. The registrations begin on July 19, 2021.

  1. First Place – 50,00,000
  2. Second – 25,00,000
  3. Third – 10,00,000
  4. Fourth – 3,00,000
  5. Fifth – 2,00,000

Important Dates:

The registrations are open from July 19 to August 1, 2021. Moreover, the event will continue in various stages. It shall conclude in October 2021. 

Criteria for In-Game Qualifiers –

  • Registered players have to play 15 matches in a given time period.
  • Out of these, top 10 matches will be considered.
  • In case of a tie, certain parameters such as finishes, survival time, accuracy, etc will be considered.
  • Top 1024 teams will qualify for the next round.

BGIS Format:

However, there is no limit on the number of registrations. So, everyone can participate. 

First of all players will have to play 15 matches with their registered teams in a given time period. These are the qualifier rounds. After that, the top 1024 teams will go ahead. 


There are certain rules players must follow during the tournament. Following are the top rules –

  1.  Players must register their teams on the official website. 
  2. Only the registered players can play in the tournament. (If any other player is caught playing, then the team will be disqualified.)
  3. If a player’s age is below 18 years, then he/she has to provide parents’ consent.
