BGMI Unban is something we all are waiting for. Ever since the govt has banned the game, the esports community has been dead.
The entire BGMI community has been waiting for the updates on unban for a long time. Krafton did not utter a word since the last press release.
The court gave Krafton 14 days to prove themselves. Moreover, several meetings with the govt officials were held.
The company only announced that they will “closely work with the govt” and coordinate to bring back BGMI in India.
BGMI Unban :
Finally there’s a ray of hope for all Battlegrounds lovers in India. Although there are no official announcements, there is something unusual in the current BGMI app.
On searching some players’ gaming ID, the game shows the following notification –
“The player you are viewing has migrated to Battlegrounds Mobile India ”
This could probably mean that a new app may arrive very soon as “BGMI 2.0”. Krafton did the same when govt banned PUBG Mobile, back in 2020. All the PUBG Mobile accounts were brought to BGMI as a new app.
Since BGMI uses the same updates as that of PUBG Mobile, there were security concerns. The app was contacting Chinese servers directly or indirectly.
So Krafton has to bring a new app, this time, being transparent with the govt and securing Indian gamers’ data.
All the esports players, streamers and fans can now stay relaxed. It won’t take a long time. We can expect announcements in October and the game in November 2022.
In conclusion, the BGMI ban has severely affected the Indian esports community once again. Hopefully, Krafton will take care of everything this time. BGMI has this huge fanbase in India and played a significant role in the growth of esports.
BGMI Unban will surely bring the old vibes back.
