ESL Pro League Season 16 : Date, Groups and Schedule

ESL Pro League 2022 has already begun in August. The final stages are in the near future. Here’s everything you need to know –

The ESL Pro League is one of the biggest CS:GO events in the esports calendar. Most importantly, the champion of this event would get direct slots into the Blast Premier World Finals 2022 as well as the IEM Katowise 2023. Therefore, this tournament is going to be super important for all the teams. 

Both Blast Premier and the IEM events are amongst  the most prestigious world events. And any of the team would not like missing a chance to get directly into them. 

In 2022, the event started on 31 August, and it is moving towards its conclusion on 2nd October. 

The event features a whopping prize pool of $823,000, while bringing 24 best teams in the world. 

ESL Pro League Season 16 :

FORMAT :

The Pro League will have two main stages – Group Stage and the Playoffs. 

Twenty four teams from various regions have qualified for the final event. ESL announced four groups comprising 6 teams each for the Group Stage. This stage is currently live. Moreover, only the group D matches are left now.

Fans can watch the matches live on the official Twitch channel of ESL Gaming.

All teams in a group will compete against each other in a BO3. 

  • Group 1st place teams advance to the Quarterfinals (4 top teams from group)
  • Group 2nd & 3rd place teams advance to the Round of 12 (8 teams)

The Playoffs go live on 27th September. Also, the event will conclude on October 2, 2022, crowning the winners. 

Playoffs will be a single-elimination bracket.
