Free Fire Ban in India :

Garena Free Fire suddenly disappeared from the Google Play Store on 12 February. Most fans thought that it was a technical issue. Garena was looking into the matter.

Later on news came that the government of India has banned 55 apps including FF. The ban was imposed to ensure cyber security. The list had 54 other Chinese apps and clones.

Currently, there are no updates on the return of the game. Garena will have to explain the involvement of the Chinese studio and data sharing to the court.

Only after cetain procedures, the government may allow the game. The latest game FF Max is still working as it wasn’t on the list.

To sum up, FF has been consistently growing in popularity. It also won the ‘Esports Mobile Game of the Year’ title at Esports Awards 2021. Hopefully, Indian fans will get it back soon.
