Garena decided Singapore as the venue of Free Fire World Series 2022. The event will take place in Sentosa, an island on the southern coast of Singapore.
The event will last for eight days starting from the 14th of May, and ending on the 21st of May. The Play-ins will start from the 14th of May, whereas the Grand Finals will conclude on the 21st of May. Moreover, the event will feature total 22 teams, ten invited to the Grand Finals and twelve in the Play-ins.
Free Fire World Series 2022 Sentosa: Everything You Need to Know
A total of 22 teams will fight in this World Series. All the winning teams will qualify for the event by winning the regional championships from 13 different Free Fire regions. These regions include India, Pakistan, North America, Brazil, Taiwan, Indonesia, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Middle East and North America (MENA), Latin America, MCP (Malaysia, Cambodia, and the Philippines), Vietnam, Latin America, and Europe.
Twelve teams will play in the Play-ins of the FFWS 2022 Sentosa for the final two slots in the Grand Finals of the event. Further, these two teams will join the ten teams, which are already qualified to the finals through regional finals, in the grand finals.
Twelve teams, ten already qualified and two from Play-ins will fight in the Grand Finals for the ultimate title of champions and the prize pool.
All the teams will play the matches of FFWS 2022 Sentosa in six rounds on three distinct Free Fire maps. The teams will gain points on their ranking and kill in the matches. At the end of all the matches, cumulative points of each team on every map will be considered. The team with the highest points will be wind the ultimate global champions of Free Fire.
Like Free Fire Word Series 2022, the Free Fire Word Series 2021 also took place in Singapore. Moreover, the event reached a peak concurrent viewers of 5.4 million viewers, which is the highest in the Esports industry.
