Global Esports has already moved to Chennai to play the tournament. However, the actual plan was to shift to Thailand for LCQ temporarily.

The main motive to shift to Thailand was to get a lower ping while playing the tournament. However, due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions, they had to cancel it. Hence, they had to adjust to the second best thing possible to move to Chennai.
