Indian Budget 2022 on Gaming has been announced. Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman, honorable Finance Minister of India, presented the Budget for 2022-23.
The Annual Budget mentions Gaming and Visual Effects with a new Task Force. As a result, the government will support the gaming industry.

On 1 February, the Budget for 2022-23 was presented in the Parliament. Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman mentioned the AVGC Promotion Task Force in the budget.
AVGC stands for ‘Animation, VisualEffects, Gaming and Comic’.
All these fields have grown rapidly in the past few years. Animation and Visual Effects have become the most important part of Gaming.
Gaming Market in India is going to hit $5 Billion in 2025. However, the Gaming industry has been under the influence of the global market. It is something that will evolve in the coming years.
So, the industry needs talented animators and graphic designers to grow.
Not only Gaming, but the love for Animations and movies is never-ending. By supporting them, the government is bringing something that the youth will love to do.
AVGC Promotion Task Force :
The AVGC Promotion Task Force will serve all these sectors in India. She further mentioned that they will build it with the stakeholders. This would serve the domestic as well as the global market.
The Union Ministry will supervise the AVGC Force. Several representatives of the gaming industry will be a part of it.
Also, the government acknowledges that these sectors give employment to the youth. The industry carries great potential, so it is very important to look after it.
