National Esports Championship 2021: Everything you need to know

The National Esports Championship (NESC) 2021 is all set to roll out in August. This championship will commence on the 6th of August, and it will conclude on the 22nd of August. 

In this championship, top esports athletes from all over the country will compete and showcase their skills. However, NESC will held virtually this year.

The Esports Federation of India (ESFI) has arranged the National Esports Championship 2021. Professional Esports players from all over the country will compete in popular games like DOTA2, Tekken7, PES2020, and CSGO.

For Tekken7 and PES2020, the last date of registration is the 19th of August. For DOTA2, the last date of registration is the 5th of August. However, NESC has not yet announced the registration date for CSGO.


The matches of DOTA2 will take place from the 6th to the 15th of August. On the other hand, Tekken7 and PES2020 will be played on the 21st and 22nd of August. However, NESC has not yet announced the schedule of CSGO.

The increasing interest for esports in our country currently is encouraging us to push the envelope and give the athletes and the audience something new and exciting each time.” said Lokes Suji, the Director of Esports Federation of India. “We are extremely thrilled and excited to announce NESC 2021, it is a great opportunity for gamers to not only showcase their talent, strategies and skills in competitive gaming but also make the country proud. While Esports is now going to be a medal event at the 2022 Asian Games as well as few other Asian Championship events and expected to be included in Olympics in the near future, we are committed to develop, support and grow the Esports ecosystem in India.”

The winners of the National Esports Championship will be representing India at the 13th Esports World Championship by the International Esports Federation (IESF). Moreover, these winners will progress through the online Regional Qualifiers in Sep-Oct to the Global Finals, which will take place in Eilat, Israel, from the 14th to the 19th of November. Moreover, International Esports Federation will cover the air travel expenses and accommodation of the athletes.
