The upcoming agent is a Sentinel. Riot Games first teased the agent in the Year One Anthem video in June. In the Anthem video, Deadeye appeared holding a sniper rifle.
Later, a mysterious voice with a French accent narrated the trailer of Fracture. Moreover, this trailer showed two bullets colliding with each other, which destroyed the reactor in Fracture.
On either side of the Fracture, there are two gun cases. It is speculated that these cases are of the guns used in the trailer. Moreover, according to the trailer, it seems that Deadeye is responsible for the destruction of Fracture.
State of the Agents update revealed more about the new Valorant agent Deadeye
Valorant character producer, John Goscicki, revealed some more details in the recent State of the Agents update. However, it does not explicitly refer to Deadeye.
John Goscicki said, “We took a step back and thought about different ways to provide another Sentinel to the roster. A Sentinel that focuses on mechanical outplays, with an additional focus of gunplay into the mix for an extra flourish.”
The image attached with the post shows a cup of coffee along with a card. Moreover, the post also contains a “Magnifique,” which is a French word. This somewhat confirms that the agent is French.
The post confirms that the upcoming agent is a Sentinel. Currently, Valorant has only three Sentinels agents. Sentinels are agents with a robust set of abilities, which they can use to hold a site. In contrast, Deadeye will have a focus on gunplay rather than abilities. Moreover, the post also mentions the agent’s mechanical outplay.
Riot has not yet revealed the approximate release date of the new Valorant agent Deadeye. Players still have to wait a little more for the release of Deadeye. However, Riot might soon reveal more in the upcoming days.
