PGL Major Antwerp 2022 : Teams, Schedule, Format and More

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 will begin soon. Valve is ready to host this year’s first CS:GO Major in May. Here are all the details of the event –

This time, PGL Major will feature a prize pool of $1,000,000 USD. It will have the following prize distribution –

  1. $500,000
  2. $150,000
  3. $70,000

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 : Teams 

The best 24 teams have arrived from the RMR tournaments in various regions. The following teams will fight on different stages –

Format :

PGL Major Antwerp will have three main stages between 9 – 22 May. Following will be the format –

  1. Challengers Stage : May 9th – 12th, 2022
  2. Legends Stage : May 14th – 17th, 2022
  3. Champions Stage : May 19th – 22nd, 2022

The first two will take place in a closed studio setting, while the third will take place in front of an audience at the 18,000-seat Antwerps Sportpaleis.

In contrast, This will be the first CS:GO Major to be held in Belgium. When PGL set out to find “one of the most approachable destinations” for the event, the nation’s central location in Europe ticked every box, according to PGL.

The Major will be live on PGL main as well as secondary Twitch channels.

PGL Major Antwerp Schedule :

The first stage is Challengers and on day 1, i.e. 9 May, the following teams will play – 

  1. Team Vitality vs Complexity
  2. Bad News Eagles vs Eternal Fire
  3. G2 Esports vs Liquid
  4. forZe vs Renegades
  5. Astralis vs IHC Esports
  6. Imperial vs Team Spirit
  7. MIBR vs Outsiders
  8. ENCE vs 9z Team

To sum up, this will be another exciting event, just like the previous year’s PGL Major Stockholm that broke all the viewership records.
