Pokemon Unite will launch on Nintendo Switch and mobiles this year. The Pokemon Franchise now enters the MOBA genre. The pokemon company and the TiMi Studio Group announced their first strategic team battle game.
Pokemon Unite Release Date:
In July 2021, The Pokemon Company will release a team-based, five-vs-five strategy game. This will be followed by a mobile device release later this year, in September.
We expect the game to launch in September for both iOS and Android.
About Pokemon Unite:
Pokemon Unite is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game. Moreover, the beta testing of the game has ended and it is all set to launch in the market.
In contrast, Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group co-developed it for Nintendo Switch.
Don’t worry if the game is available on both platforms and you can’t decide which to use. Cross-play between Nintendo’s console and mobile devices will be possible with Pokemon Unite.
The Pokemon Company also stated that the game supports cross-progression. Log in with your Pokemon Trainer Club account or your Nintendo Account on the devices you want to play on.
When you first start playing Pokemon Unite, it will be free with optional in-game purchases. For example – Aeos gems, an in-game currency.
Playing the game will earn you Aeos money and tickets. You can use these to unlock cosmetics and other stuff.
Season battle passes are also available, which you can level up over time to win in-game goodies.
The strategy game is a little unusual. Moreover, it’s coming out years after MOBAs like Dota 2 and League of Legends have already become popular.
However, Game includes a number of well-known characters. This may be enough to entice some Pokemon fans to try a new sort of game.
In 2016, an Augmented Reality (AR) game – Pokemon Go was launched. The game became famous worldwide. However, it was a bit different from usual games. It was about moving around and catching pokemons.
Pokemon Franchise’s new game shall be another big hit in the market.
