PUBG Mobile Global Championship will commence on the 23rd of November with a prize pool of $6 million. Best teams across the globe will be battling against each other for the ultimate title.
In a recent press release, Tencent announced that PMGC 2021 will commence on the 23rd of November. Moreover, they also mentioned that it will run until January 2022. However, Tencent is yet to release many other details regarding PMGC 2021.
PUBG Mobile Global Championship schedule and teams
Like every other PUBG Mobile Championship, this tournament will also split into two stages, i.e., League Stages and the Finals.
The league stages will last for four weeks, starting on the 23rd of November. And, it will end in December. The top teams from the league stage will qualify for the finals, which will be held in January 2022.
The teams will qualify in PMGC through PUBG Mobile Pro League and other regional championships.
For Global, points earned by the teams in League Stages and Finals of two PMPL seasons will be combined. These points will be called PMGC Points. The team with the highest number of PMGC points from each PMPL region will qualify for PMGC 2021.
However, the qualifying eligibility for Japan and China is a little different. The team with the highest points after combining points from two phases of PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 1 will qualify for Japan.
On the other hand, for China, the team with the highest Championship Points will qualify. The top eight teams in each PEL season will earn Championship Points. However, the Championship Points in PEL increase with each season.
However, PUBG Mobile has not yet revealed the exact number of teams, which will play the PUBG Mobile Global Championship. Moreover, they have also not revealed many other details of the tournament. Hence, we still have to wait for more announcements.
