PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022: Points system, match parameters, and more

PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 is just around the corner with only six days remaining for the commencement. 

Top 18 teams from across the world will fight against each other in the main event (first week) for a massive prize pool of USD 2 million. The top five teams from the main event will move forward to the Afterparty Showdown (second week).

The first week will take place from the 11th to the 13 of August followed by the second week taking place from the 18th to 20th of August. In the first week, six matches will be played per day on three maps, i.e., three matches in Erangel, two in Miramar, and one in Sanhok. On the other hand, Tencent has not yet revealed the map order for the second week. 

PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 Points System 

Both the events will have a different points system, and Tencent has revealed the points system for both events. 

Following is the points system for Main Event (First Week): 

  • 1st Place= 15 Points
  • 2nd Place= 12 Points
  • 3rd Place= 10 Points
  • 4th Place= 8 Points
  • 5th Place = 6 Points
  • 6th Place = 4 Points
  • 7th Place = 2 Points
  • 8th Place = 1 Points
  • 9th Place = 1 Point
  • 10th Place = 1 Point
  • 11th Place = 1 Point
  • 12th Place = 1 Point
  • 13th Place = 0 Point
  • 14th Place = 0 Point
  • 15th Place = 0 Point
  • 16th Place = 0 Point
  • 17th Place = 0 Point
  • 18th Place = 0 Point
  • 1 Kill = 1 Point

Following is the points system for Afterparty Showdown (Second Week): 

  • 1st Place= 10 Points
  • 2nd Place= 6 Points
  • 3rd Place= 5 Points
  • 4th Place= 4 Points
  • 5th Place = 3 Points
  • 6th Place = 2 Points
  • 7th Place = 1 Points
  • 8th Place = 1 Points
  • 9th Place = 0 Point
  • 10th Place = 0 Point
  • 11th Place = 0 Point
  • 12th Place = 0 Point
  • 1 Kill = 1 Point

PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 Match Parameters

Following are the match parameters for the PMWI 2022:

  • Mode: Third Person Perspective (TPP)
  • Playzone Shrink Speed: x1.1
  • Sound Visualization: Disabled
  • Aim Assist: Disabled
  • Red Zone and Flare Guns: Disabled
  • Safe zone 1 display time: 0.5x/60s (ONLY for Sanhok)
  • Vague Information: Enabled
  • All Weapons: x2
  • Scopes and Magazines: x2

Although PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 is just around the corner, there is no update regarding Team SouL and 7Sea Esports’ participation after the ban. However, Naman ‘Mortal’ Mathur revealed in his stream that Krafton will soon confirm about the participation.
