The collective player spending of Riot Games’ mobile titles Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and Teamfight Tactics crossed $100 million. Moreover, nearly 60% of total spending was spent on League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Riot Games released its first mobile title, Teamfight Tactics, in March 2020.. Since then, it has reached 15 million downloads and made a revenue of $27.5 million.
Riot Games released it’s another mobile title, Legends of Runeterra, in April 2020 and it has made a revenue of $16.2 million. and it has made a revenue of $16.2 million. However, it has crossed 13 million downloads.
Most of the revenue has come through League of Legends: Wild Rift, which is a mobile version of League of Legends. Moreover, League of Legends is very popular in the PC gaming community . Hence, it is gaining so much audience.
In October 2020, Riot Games first released the game in the South East Asia region. Later, They released it in Oceania, Europe, and the Middle East regions in December 2020. However, due to COVID-19 pandemic, the launch of the game was a little late in North and South America regions. Unfortunately, the game has not yet been released in China and the South Asia region.
Riot Games’ mobile title revenue
According to the analytics by Sensor Tower, Riot Games has generated over $100 million by player spendings with its three mobile titles combined.
Google Play records the most downloads, with 48.3 million downloads, or 65% of the total downloads. In contrast, the App Store accounts for 26 million downloads.
Over 26% or $28 million of the total player spending comes from the United States. Korea comes in second with 22% of revenue, while Brazil comes in third with 6.5%.
They entered the mobile gaming scene 16 months ago. In these 16 months, Riot Games has released three games and generated a revenue of $108.4 million. The company is paying more attention to mobile gaming. Nonetheless, Valorant is also coming to mobile.
