Valorant Patch 4.03

Riot Games released a new Valorant Patch 4.03

Riot Games released Valorant Patch 4.03, bringing changes to Deathmatch and Brimstone’s ultimate. Moreover, the new patch fixes bugs, improves the AFK detection system, and introduces a new option for returning to the strongest weapon in your inventory.

Patch 4.03 also includes a few quality-of-life updates, such as a new color for the tile to display sprays in your collections, as some sprays were too similar to the original color. It will be easier to observe how sprays will appear in-game with the new color.

Valorant Patch 4.03 Patch Notes

Patch 4.03 introduces major changes in Deathmatch mode and Brimstone’s ultimate. Moreover, it also features many other minor changes. Following are the Patch Notes.

Brimstone:

  • Brimstone’s ultimate will now properly block the gameplay visibility while active.
  • Players will no longer be able to see the enemies on the minimap through the ultimate.
  • Abilities that require line of sight (like flashes and Sova’s recon) will no longer work through the ultimate.

Deathmatch:

  • Removed or relocated “dangerous” spawn locations wherever required.
  • Improved spawn logic and spawn placement to increase the likelihood of encounters between players.
  • Spawning logic will now respawn players farther away from where enemies defeated them.
  • Fixed an issue where the Warm-Up Phase was not using spawn logic properly.
  • Respawn time is reduced from 3s to 1.5s.

Social Updates:

  • Updated AFK detection in-game to prevent players from exploiting game modes to farm EXP.

Cosmetic Updates:

  • A new color for the tile is now used to display sprays in your collections, as some sprays were too similar to the original color. It will be easier to observe how sprays will appear in-game with the new color.

Game System Updates:

  • Added option to return to strongest weapon
  • Players can now return to the strongest weapon when pressing the “Equip Last Used Item” key or auto-equipping a weapon.

Valorant Patch 4.03 brings major changes to Deathmatch, making it more balanced. Moreover, it features the much-needed Brimstone’s ultimate minimap glitch. Unfortunately, we won’t be getting the Yoru to rework in Patch 4.03, so we still need to save.
