Skyesports, one of the top esports event organisers has sold its media rights to Rooter. This deal is for all the esports events of 2022.
Skyesports Sells Media Rights
Rooter has now acquired all the media rights of Skyesports’ IP. Therefore, all of their events will be live exclusively on Rooter.
This means the events will no longer be live on YouTube or any other platform like Loco. In 2021, the company streamed most of its tournaments on Loco.
The company will host many BGMI and Valorant tournaments in 2022. The company has now become famous with high viewership records. The most recent one was the Skyesports Grand Slam S1 that ended on 23 February.
The following are the upcoming events of 2022 –
- March – April : Skyesports Pro League
- April – May : Skyesports League 2022
- August – October : Skyesports Championship 4.0
- September – October : Real Cricket Championship 2022
- October : Grand Slam 2022 S2
- November – December Skyesports Mobile Open
The total prize pool of all these events is $530,000 (about 4 crore INR). These events will be broadcasted live in various languages – Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Bengali.

It has about 23 Million active users with each user watching streams for an average 26 minutes. Millions of streamers create content around various games like BGMI, Free Fire, Valorant and more.

To sum up, the partnership will draw the audience to the Rooter app. Gamers can watch and also stream their favourite games on the app.
