Somaiya Vidyavihar University to Build India’s First Ever Esports Arena

Somaiya Vidyavihar University is ready to build India’s first ever Esports Arena in Mumbai. This is going to be a huge step for esports promotion in India.

Team India played at the inaugural esports event at CWG 2022. Furthermore, after the beautiful win by the Indian DOTA 2 team at the Commonwealth Games 2022, SVU has come forward to take esports ahead.

The team won a bronze medal in this tournament. Furthermore, next time onwards, esports will be a part of the main event at CWG, so they will count the medals in the tally.

Somaiya Vidyavihar to Build Esports Arena

Somaiya Vidyavihar University has teamed up with Mobile Global Esports Inc. to build an Esports Arena. This arena will be the first esports arena in India. Also, it will have a good capacity to host events with a live audience.

In addition, SVU is all ready to begin esports courses for students. These courses will bring qualified esports coaches for the students who wish to pursue esports as a career. 

These courses will commence from November 2022. 

SVU will host a massive Call of Duty : Mobile tournament this year. It will feature a prize pool worth 1 million Rupees.

About MOGO :

Mobile Global Esports Inc is the first Indian Esports company to be listed on the NASDAQ. The company has raised approximately Rs 55 crore. 

This partnership with SVU will concentrate on the expanding Esports industry, with a particular emphasis on India and other South Asian markets.  

This will have a really positive impact in the Indian gaming scenario. It seems like a new beginning of esports as a career.
