Velocity Gaming and Global Esports qualified for VCC Grand Finals

Velocity Gaming and Global Esports will fight against each other in the VCC Grand Finals. After four teams fighting for two days straight, Velocity Gaming and Global Esports qualified for the Grand Finals of VCC. 

The teams played the finals in a double elimination format. Velocity Gaming qualified for the Grand Finals through the Upper Bracket, whereas Global Esports qualified through the Lower Brackets.

All the teams gave their best to qualify for the Grand Finals. However, only two teams could qualify.

Here’s a quick review of what happened in the first two days of the Grand Finals.

Upper Bracket Round 1

Match no. 1: Team Exploit vs Enigma Gaming

In the first map of Icebox, Team Exploit dominated Enigma Gaming with a scoreline of 13-7. 

Moreover, Team Exploit also dominated the second map of Bind with a scoreline of 13-5. 

The final score for the round was Team Exploit 2-0 Enigma Gaming. This advanced Team Exploit to the Upper Bracket Finals, whereas Team Enigma dropped to the Lower Bracket. 

Match no. 2: Global Esports vs Velocity Gaming

In the second match, both the teams gave a tough fight, and the third match ended with a nail-biting finish.

In the first map of Split, Velocity Gaming dominated Global Esports with a scoreline of 13-6.

However, in the second match of Haven, Global Esports made a comeback and defeated Velocity Gaming with a scoreline of 13-6.

In the third and the final map of Breeze, both the teams gave their best, resulting in a nail-biting finish. However, after a couple of Overtime, Velocity Gaming managed to beat Global Esports. 

The final score for the round was Velocity Gaming 2-1 Global Esports. This advanced Velocity Gaming to the Upper Bracket Finals, whereas Global Esports dropped to the Lower Bracket.

Lower Bracket Round 1

Team Enigma vs Global Esports

After losing in the Upper Bracket Round 1, Team Enigma and Global Esports fought against each other to qualify for the Lower Bracket Final.

In the first map of Bind, Global Esports dominated Enigma Gaming with a scoreline of 13-5.

Moreover, Global Esports also dominated the second map of Icebox with a scoreline of 13-2.

The final score for the round was Global Esports 2-0 Enigma Gaming.

This round eliminated Enigma Gaming, whereas it advanced Global Esports to the Lower Bracket Finals. 

Upper Bracket Final

Team Exploit vs Velocity Gaming

Team Exploit fought against Velocity Gaming in the Upper Bracket final. 

Both the maps, Bind and Icebox, had nail-biting endings. However, Velocity Gaming won both the matches with a scoreline of 14-12.

The final score for the round was Global Esports 2-0 Enigma Gaming.

This advanced Velocity Gaming to the Grand Finals, whereas dropped Team Exploit to the Lower Bracket Finals. 

Lower Bracket Final

Global Esports vs Team Exploit

Global Esports and Team Exploit fought against each other in the Lower Bracket Final to qualify for the Grand Finals. 

In the first map of Split, Global Esports dominated Team Exploit with a scoreline of 13-3. 

However, in the second map of Bind, Team Exploit made a comeback and defeated Global Esports with a scoreline of 13-8.

In the third map of Icebox, Global Esports defeated Team Exploit with a scoreline of 13-4.

The final score for the round was Global Esports 2-1 Team Exploit. This eliminated Team Exploit, whereas it advanced Global Esports to the Grand Finals.

Moreover, Velocity Gaming and Global Esports will continue their fight in the VCC Grand Finals on the 29th of August. It will be thrilling to see how the top teams of South Asia fight against each other for the ultimate title.
