The BGMI India Series (BGIS) 2024 is in full swing, and underdog teams vying for a spot in the main event must participate in the in-game qualifiers organized by Krafton, the publisher of BGMI. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the in-game qualifiers for BGIS 2024:

Dates: The in-game qualifiers will take place from April 15th to April 21st, providing registered teams with an opportunity to showcase their skills.

Registration: Teams must register through the Krafton India Esports website to be eligible to participate in the qualifiers.

Format: During the qualifiers, teams will play a total of 15 matches. The top 10 best-performing matches will be considered for each team.

Advancement: The top 1024 performing teams from the qualifiers will advance to Round 1 of BGIS 2024.

Equipment Rules (4.1 Rule): Players are only permitted to participate using mobile phones or approved handheld devices. Peripheral devices, such as tablets, controllers, keyboards, and mice, are strictly prohibited without explicit written approval.

Apparel Rules (4.2 Rule): Players’ avatars must remain fully clothed in the game after leaving the in-game lobby. Clothing exchanges for cosmetic purposes are not allowed during matches.

Points System: The points system for the in-game qualifiers is as follows:

  • 1st place: 10 points

  • 2nd place: 6 points

  • 3rd place: 5 points

  • 4th place: 4 points

  • 5th place: 3 points

  • 6th place: 2 points

  • 7th place: 1 point

  • 8th place: 1 point

  • 9th – 16th place: 0 points

  • 1 Finish: 1 point

Round 1: The 1024 qualifying teams will be divided into 64 groups of 16 teams each. Each group will play 3 matches from May 2nd to May 5th, 2024.

To succeed in the in-game qualifiers, teams must demonstrate aggressive gameplay and secure a significant number of chicken dinners, aiming for at least 9 to 10 victories with a minimum of 20 to 25 finishes in each match. This new points system emphasizes both strategic placement and eliminations, requiring teams to perform consistently across all matches to advance to Round 1 of BGIS 2024.
