Naman Mathur aka Mortal, Co-founder and CMO of S8UL Esports, will represent the Indian gaming community at the prestigious The Times Group presents ET NOW Global Business Summit 2024 in New Delhi. Narendra Modi is the Chief Guest for the ET NOW Global Business Summit 2024. This would be the first time that an individual from the Indian Esports community will be speaking during the ET NOW Global Business Summit.

The Times Group’s Global Business Summit is an annual event that brings together the world’s leading business leaders, policymakers, academics, and thought leaders to address critical issues affecting the global economy. The GBS was launched in 2015 and has since grown into one of Asia’s most prestigious and respected business conferences.  This year’s GBS will be held at the Taj Palace, New Delhi, India, on February 9-10, 2024. The event will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops. The theme of the summit is “India and the World: Forging a New Paradigm.”

Last year, the ‘Leveling up: State of India Gaming FY’23’ report by Lumikai in collaboration with Google stated that India was home to 568 Mn gamers in FY23. The country’s gaming market hit $3.1 Bn in FY23 and is projected to reach $7.5 Bn by FY28, growing at a CAGR of 20%. Having a look at some of the recent achievements by the Indian nation in Esports worldwide, many would remember the various players that took part in the Asian Games. The Indian contingent’s participation in the Asian Games 2022, where Esports debuted as an official medal sport, and the remarkable fifth-place finish secured by the League of Legends team emerged as the year’s crowning achievement that showcased the nation’s Esports prowess on the international stage.

If we take a look at the content creation aspect of gaming and esports, S8UL, India’s premier Esports organization, won the first-ever ‘Global Impact on Mobile Gaming’ at the MOBIES Awards as well as the ‘Content Creator of the Year’ award at the Global Esports Awards 2023.
