Season 1 Draft: LAN Finale Sees Six CS2 Teams from India and Pakistan Qualify

BLAST, a prominent organizer of Counter-Strike tournaments worldwide, has teamed up with NODWIN Gaming, a leading esports company based in South Asia, to announce a special event for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) enthusiasts in India and Pakistan called “The Draft.”

After the conclusion of online regional qualifiers in both countries, the top three teams from each nation are gearing up for the main event of The Draft, set to take place on LAN from February 8th to 11th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The tournament boasts a generous prize pool of $50,000 USD (INR 41,49,220).

The Draft Season 1 Reaches Super Six LAN Finale
A total of six teams have secured their spots in the LAN finals of The Draft, with three hailing from India and three from Pakistan:

From India:

  1. True Rippers | India Division #1

  2. Marcos Gaming | India Division #2

  3. Gods Reign | India Division #3

From Pakistan:

  1. Come Mid | Pakistan Division #1

  2. WahWah | Pakistan Division #2

  3. Pak Boyz | Pakistan Division #3

Qualifiers for India were held from January 27th to February 2nd, while those for Pakistan took place from January 28th to February 3rd. Each qualifier featured six teams competing in a round-robin format, with matches played as best-of-two series. The top three teams from each qualifier advanced to the LAN finals.

Additionally, six esteemed Counter-Strike legends will serve as mentors and coaches for the participating teams:

These seasoned veterans will offer invaluable guidance to help the teams improve their performance and elevate their gameplay.

The Draft Season 1 will unfold over the next four days, from February 8th to 12th, featuring a prize pool of $50,000 USD. The tournament will follow a double-elimination bracket, with each match played as a best-of-three series, culminating in a best-of-five grand final.

All eyes are on the CS2 teams from India and Pakistan as they vie for the title of The Draft champion under the mentorship of Counter-Strike greats.
