SuperGaming, a leading game developer in India, has unveiled the next phase of its global expansion plan for the futuristic battle royale game, Indus, with the introduction of the Indus Battle Royale Beta. This launch follows a closed beta period exclusively available to selected iOS users that kicked off in December.

The staggering response, with over 8.5 million pre-registrations, underscores the game’s worldwide appeal, highlighting its incorporation of Indian art, culture, and narratives. Roby John, CEO and co-founder of SuperGaming, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the playtesters, esports professionals, and content creators who played pivotal roles in shaping India’s gaming landscape.

Players can now dive into the heart-pounding action on Virlok, the map of Indus, immersing themselves in the full battle royale experience complete with enhanced features refined during community playtests, esports tournaments, and the exclusive iOS closed beta. Accessible through limited Indus Beta Keys, this release introduces a unique element showcased in the newly unveiled trailer titled ‘Cosmium Changes Everything.’

The trailer illustrates how players can clinch victory by obtaining Cosmium, an in-game item introduced during the final moments of a match. SuperGaming’s innovative approach received validation from India’s top esports teams during the recent Indus Esports Invitational.

“Cosmium is at the core of the Indus universe, driving its narrative and gameplay,” explains Roby John. “The trailer is a testament to our players and their interaction with Cosmium during our playtests and the Indus Esports Invitational, enhancing the overall gameplay experience significantly.”

For eager players keen to join the Indus Battle Royale Beta, SuperGaming has outlined the process to acquire limited Indus Beta Keys. Participants who register on the official Indus Beta key site – indusbeta.com – will secure a spot on the waitlist.

In celebration of the beta release, early supporters will receive exclusive cosmetic items that will not be available at the game’s launch. The Android system requirements, powered by SuperGaming’s proprietary Indus Engine, ensure that Indus is playable on a wide range of devices, catering to a diverse global audience.

“Mobile gaming constitutes the largest segment of the Indian gaming market, and we aim to prioritize mobile players as primary users rather than an afterthought,” says Sujeet Kumar, Technical Director at SuperGaming. “While Indus is built on Unity, our fully customized sandbox shooter tech stack, the Indus Engine, enables us to further optimize the game for a seamless playing experience.”
